Hybrid / Remote Work

After going remote due to the pandemic back in March of 2020, we have made the decision to become a fully remote team with an office hub in Nashville. This means that team members are free to live wherever they would like within the United States with no obligation to go to the office or convene in-person, with the exception of pre-defined company activities such as company retreats, workshops, etc. We do have a beautiful office that team members are welcome to use as often or as little as they like. Located in the Terrazzo building in the Gulch (700 12th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37204), we have two dedicated office spaces in addition to a shared co-working space. Culture remains a focus, and we provide monthly, optional in-person events that allow our team to enjoy each other’s company. While remote work is available, applicants must be in the US due to the nature of our business and client needs.

 

Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, data-driven Marketing Director to own the marketing funnel for our agency. This is a remarkable opportunity to have a significant role in driving the horizon of our agency and we are prepared to reward success. Reporting to the CEO and collaborating with the President/COO, this role will be focused on conceiving, creating, and deploying content-based strategic inbound marketing initiatives. You will be in charge of attracting site traffic, converting that traffic into leads, and nurturing those leads into MQLs to be handed off to the sales team. This role requires a strong writer and researcher with deep knowledge of healthcare and with the ability to map marketing automation campaigns, generate content, optimize web pages, direct creative work, and explore new channels and mediums for our inbound marketing efforts.

This position also requires a deep understanding of marketing strategies and tactics for the types of clients we serve. Golden Spiral is working to emerge as a leading voice for healthtech marketing over the next 3 years. Success in this position will mean creating real value and thought leading assertions in the form of content, events such as webinars, conferences, studies, podcasts, surveys, etc. It will be important to not only reflect and amplify the insight of the agency subject matter experts but also be able to add to that canon. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update 2-3 months worth of editorial calendar of topics
    • Blog posts
    • Rich Content (guides, pillar pages, infographics)
    • Composing Case studies
  • Write/edit and post at least one blog post per week
  • Create and send regularly scheduled weekly insights newsletter
  • Oversee company podcast (scheduling guests, coordinating with producer, posting to site)
  • Create content upgrades on our website
  • Develop and oversee lead nurturing campaigns
  • Qualifying leads as MQLs + SQLs
  • Manage relationship with external vendors, such as marketing agency and occasional freelancers as projects require
  • Regular analysis and reporting of marketing KPIs
  • Weekly accountability and reporting on scorecard items and other content “impact” metrics
  • Regular analysis and reporting of marketing KPIs
  • Work closely with CEO to explore content topics and emerging “voices”, such as video, webinars, podcast
  • Regular maintenance of blog page and resources page
  • Regularly update our social channels
  • Occasionally engage on social channels on behalf of CEO in ways that demonstrate knowledge of space and reflect favorably on the Golden Spiral Brand. 
  • Manage assigned Asana tasks
  • Collaborate with sales around event strategy
  • Spearhead the creation of Golden Spiral’s health tech marketing conference
  • Represent Golden Spiral at industry events and business development activities
  • Assist with efforts around sponsorships

  • Minimum of 5 years of directly applicable experience including copywriting within the healthcare industry
  • Experience working with marketing automation tools
  • Strong copywriting ability and a portfolio that proves it
  • Authoritative copy editing skills (AP style)
  • Excellent communicator with an ability to use data to inform all decisions
  • Skilled at working efficiently with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of SEO/SEM and content’s role in that process
  • High energy drive to achieve results and ability to adapt when necessary
  • Self starter with the ability to problem solve and take the initiative to overcome obstacles
