Hybrid / Remote Work

After going remote due to the pandemic back in March of 2020, we have made the decision to become a fully remote team with an office hub in Nashville. This means that team members are free to live wherever they would like within the United States with no obligation to go to the office or convene in-person, with the exception of pre-defined company activities such as company retreats, workshops, etc. (when it is safe to bring those back). We do have an office that team members will be welcome to go to once we declare the office open again. Located in the Terrazzo building in the Gulch (700 12th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37204), we have two dedicated office space in addition to a shared co-working space. Team members will be welcome to use the office as often or little as they would like. Culture remains a focus and continue our virtual hang outs and look forward to providing monthly, optional in-person events that will allow our team to enjoy each other’s company as early as this Summer.

Job Overview

Reporting to the VP of Client Service, the Account Director is responsible for ensuring the relationship between the agency and assigned clients is strong and growing. He/She works to facilitate day-to-day strategy, communication and project management for client needs, building ongoing rapport, and continuing Golden Spiral’s demonstrated value to the client. Typical projects include positioning, visual identity systems, websites, inbound marketing strategies and execution, and SEO/SEM, among others. This person will maintain a highly responsive service orientation in all transactions. They must understand the client’s business and own any strategy or initiative we are working with them to implement.


In addition to working closely with the VP of Client Service, the Account Director interfaces with various agency departments to move projects through on behalf of the client. This includes meeting with the VP of Creative concerning creative issues and input, the President/COO around broader revenue and profit targets, the Digital Strategy Director for overall strategy and competitive research, and the Project Manager concerning scheduling, resource management, and timing. 


Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned HealthTech clients 
  • Collaborate with VP of Client Service to develop and manage ongoing strategies for clients
  • Oversee the execution of ongoing client initiatives and execute on tactics when needed
  • Work with VP of Client Service to regularly explore opportunities to build value and increase scope of client engagements
  • Develop Scope of Works and detailed proposals for existing clients
  • Intentionally build relationship with clients (find opportunities to entertain) 
  • Facilitate renewal conversations with clients
  • Actively work to identify upsell opportunities across client engagements
  • Work with creative department to ensure deliverables are strategically aligned, well executed, and on-brand
  • Ensure positioning, high-level messaging and brand voice is represented and consistent throughout all marketing deliverables
  • Work with Project Manager to track budgets and communicate alignment with client if a request jeopardizes the budget 
  • Hold regular strategic meetings with clients 
  • Coordinate strategic meetings with internal stakeholders when needed 
  • Present client deliverables, marketing plans, and 3-month reviews
  • Coordinate all meetings with clients 
  • Leverage relationships with existing accounts to identify and pursue new client opportunities
  • Include Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in client meetings when necessary
  • Include important project details, such as revisions remaining and client deadlines, when sending key project deliverables in writing. Make sure change in deliverable requests are documented in writing via email or basecamp by the client.
  • Provide agency marketing team with key successes, KPIs, and the broader client stories for use in case studies
