With the rapid growth in experience by Golden Spiral in 2018, our Content Department is nearing max capacity. Based on our trajectory and goal for large growth in 2019, we have a current and future need for more bandwidth to reach our goals while also maintaining our high-quality standards.
The focus of the Content Strategist is in creating and deploying content-based strategic initiatives that align with and accelerate our clients’ business objectives. This person will oversee content requirements and create content strategies along with content deliverables across a project lifecycle. He or she will be in charge of (or contribute significantly to) creating and maintaining editorial calendars, content style guides, taxonomies, meta data frameworks, social media posts, and content migration plans. This can include conducting content audits (qualitative analyses of website and social media content) as well as content gap analyses. He or she may also be called upon to lead or contribute to client positioning efforts.
This job requires a high-level mind with a penchant for keeping track of details and forming logical frameworks, balanced with the ability to generate ideas and think expansively. It requires the ability to effectively solve problems, communicate clearly and organize efficiently. It also requires the analytical abilities necessary to gather key business and user insights, and then apply strategic planning skills to create a long-term vision for the content that’s generated. Other desirable traits include the ability to compellingly communicate a brand’s story and a design sensibility to envision how content will be presented or distributed in formats other than text-based articles, such as infographics, videos, and multimedia presentations..
